I think a great first date would be to meet somewhere or do something that neither of us has done or experienced before. This way even if there is no connection, we can both enjoy something new and exciting. :)

My ideal match is someone that likes/tolerates anime, movies, and books; I also like to cosplay and hang out with my friends on occasion. I would just like to be able to go to a nice little lunch just to talk to someone, for a change. I don't want anyone to feel pushed or pressured. And I really don't want anyone to feel the same about me. The last thing that I really want is someone that's going to approach me and think that I'm up for sleeping with them. This isn't the real me. My first date needs to be low key

So few people truly communicate anymore and I think reading is a lost art, so people tend to roll out the door on a first date at "hello" without a clue as to what to do or even who they are doing it with, which only sets them up for failure. A first date could be coffee and conversation at a bookstore like Barnes & Noble or outside on a beautiful day at a Starbucks, etc. It could even be something a little more active and fun (or silly) like bowling where we could both laugh and talk. Maybe it's some wine somewhere or dinner. At some point, it'd be nice to take a long walk, hand-in-hand and enjoy the day or evening, perhaps along a beach or through a park or even in a historical district or mall. I could even see myself tagging along to help her shop for clothes... give my yay o nay or make suggestions... and certainly carry the bags, watch the purse, or whatever would make her day easier and complete. I'm not so picky about what I do, as I am about with whom I will do it. Since I just looked down and noticed I have to categorize this and it seems I've included every possible category, LOL, then, it just can't be categorized will have to do. TG it's an option!! LOL I'm a Libra... what did you expect? I'm romantic and flexible. As an Army combat veteran, I'm also used to looking out for others and putting them first.
To be outdoors and do something adventurous that we can get to be ourselves and not care what others think. To get to know each other better while also having fun!
